Ever wonder what is going on in the classroom where you see towers made of marshmallows and toothpicks? Robotics? Coding? The Maker movement is the answer! This movement is taking over our education system by making each student a Maker. A Maker is anyone who creates something. A Makerspace is any place where students learn through design, experimenting, and innovation. A Maker project can range from a simple problem solving activity to coding your own robot.
If you want to get involved but you're not sure where to start, we have put together three different lesson plans and a wealth of other resources to help you get on board the Maker train!
